Hello, an a question

Postby rbjett » Mon Jun 11, 2012 2:37 pm

Hey guys, My names Steve and im new around here,
I recently picked up a 83 pro t, and am looking at replacing the timing belt, tensioner etc. Being a motor mechanic my problem doesnt lie in not knowing how, but not having a listing for a belt kit for this particular modle, there is only a listin (on dayco) for a belt. now i can cross reference this belt to a kit containing but this is listed for a suzuki swift. as far as i believe my motor should be the d12b1, i was wondering if anyone has had this issue before and if so what parts were used...
thanks in advance for any help

the belt is the same for the swift and city. dont have the part numbers but you can buy the tensioner separatly. the city does not have a timing belt kit. contact cbc bearing's they might be able to assemble a kit for you.

p.s where abouts are you as i'm a mechanic myself
