bov vacuum leak.any advice??

Hi guys im new to this site so i was woundering if i could pick your brains for some advuce:)

Ive just installed a single trumpet(cheapy) bov on my t1 using a custom set up on the side of the intake manifold,pretty common i hear. And ive hooked it up to vaccum line 21(i think but ill double check).its getting plenty of vac but it seems to be leaking out through the head of the bov causing the engine to idol ruffly and the bov stays shut.i pinch the vac line and the engine comes rite again so im thinking it mite be the cheap bov?

The bov pin dosnt seem to be the best of fits in the housing so maby the vac pressure is leaking out past it.

Anyone else come across this problemo? Any advice would be great,cheers guys!:)

Pull bov apart and make sure the diaphram is sealing correctly or doesnt have a hole.

Other wise return it to seller since they sold you something defective.
