Hi guys

My Turbo II still has the original radio harness left behind and I have a head unit I want to put in. Does anyone know what wires from the harness correspond to what they are associated with? I.e 12v, acc, earth etc?

Or does someone perhaps have a diagram?

There are some wiring diagrams in the infobase, though you have to work a few things out between the T1 and T2 to understand what is going on.

From what i can tell,
Yellow/Red is Direct to battery (+12V)
White/Blue is your Accessories
and Red/Black is Illumination (For T2 only it seems)

Then there should only be another 2 pairs of wires which will be your speakers. Similar coloured wires should be the pair for each speaker, but you can test by tapping a AA or AAA battery across 2 of the wires and listen for which speaker crackles.

So the harness on the car has these wires:
Red-
Yellow- Which one of these wires connects up to the yellow Battery + wire on my radio?
Black- Ground to ground?
Blue/White- Im guessing the red ACC wire from my radio connects with this?

The best way to make sure 100% is to have a test light (basically find an old stop light globe or indicator globe or something) and hook it up from known ground (the chassis somewhere) to the wire you want to test. Then just see when it comes on (test with key out/ off, key to Acc, key to Ign and Illumination).

And yes, chances are black is ground.
