Can anyone help me out on what exactly the IGN solenoid does? thanks

ign would stand for Ignition if im not mistaken. so it would be ur ignition solenoid. pretty much starts the car.

Thanks for the reply but I am talking about the solenoid located in with the map sensors and what not, connected to pipes 20 and 5.

I also wondered this, both T1 & T2 black boxes use it so it must be of use. It may allow for more timing (advance) on start up or to retard timing while on certain boost levels but thats a complete guess :)
