So I found an old na city motor out at my dads been sitting for years i was supprised to find when I pulled it apart it is in good condition so this is the start of a 200hp city build I will post pictures as I go

So far the motor has been fully stripped the block has been acid dipped today i installed the new oil pressure sender and t fitting to run turbo oil feed next i will be giving it a hone out.

that sounds awesome mate.

be sure to let us know where you source parts/gaskets. be interested to know what piston/rings and bearings you use.

the receipts i received with my car suggest it has been rebuilt with some non-honda rings at some stage (with piston grind). dont know what though. i could ony find suzuki f6a rings that fit but you need to grind the piston for oil control ring.

i had the dream of hitting 200hp until i found how difficult it is. (i wanted 200hp atw haha)

Didn't 'Turbocab" do this many years ago before doing the D16 turbo upgrade, what i mean if im not mistaken is that he done a topic on a 200hp build, maybe it was someone else but either way it is quite achievable but 200whp is a different story, please tell me you are doing a 200whp build haha. I have covered a couple issues you will most likely come across when running higher boost levels in my post 'The City Life' but i haven't got any photos & detailed info when i had my motor rebuilt.

Yes 200 HP at the wheels I know its not going to be easy but I think I will get there a lot of the work is going to custom thinking out of the box for an example I will be custom fitting an evo0 cas onto the end of the head and disposing of the ugly distributor so I can run individual coil packs link ecu bla bla its going to take a while but I think I will get there

Yeah thats the plan i have too but wasn't sure of the parts that will be needed to do a coil on plug setup, this has been in the pipe line for the last year or two for me. I almost bought a Link G4 Storm a few weeks back for this setup but thought i'd suss the other components out first, however my aim was 250 flywheel hp so i think that falls around the 200whp too, chances are you will beat me to it so best of luck with the build.

I dought it this will be a slow build. Slowly getting all the parts I need when they come along lucky thing is me and my mates have the means to do all the custom work so will save a lot of cash there hopfull custom rods and pistons and block guard will be in the works soon

Hey one thing you may want to do is change the N/A City oil pump to a Turbo one as they are abit bigger, also i heard block guards can cause heat spotting at the top of the bore but i guess if you want to make power then its needed. Any progress on the build?
