So recently Yohei posted pics. of his City shock rebuild on Facebook, he mentioned he runs a Blog with all his City related stuff, & he's sent me the link : http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/garagefind_cit ... 66845.html
That will take you to the shock rebuild section. Translated it tells how he drills a hole in the units, drains the oil & replaces with new, adding 10% more than the amount drained, threading the added drain hole & plugging up with a grub screw. Very good site to look through, lots of pics showing how he's restored nearly every part of a City. Check it out.

Thanks for reminding me to look at this again! I'm almost tempted to give it a go myself.

Re: Yohei's shock rebuild/CITY blog
I worry that this will not be a fix for if the seals in the shocks are just plain stuffed.

Alittle more Info, Yohei says he used Hydraulic Hoist oil in his rebuild, the actual stuff he used was ' Super Hyrando 32'. Said he had heard regular engine oil may cause leakage from the damper seal.
