Re: what oil filter??
Hey Smithy,
Not sure about filters, but don't go for cheap oil!
I tried that a while back and stuffed the shaft and bearings on the turbo!! :-/
Just over $1000 for the rebuild suddenly made the cheap oil really expensive!!! ???
Go for a full or semi-synthetic as this handles higher temps better and offers more protection.

Re: what oil filter??
cool...
changes oil and filter today...
Mobil1 (53squid!!!) and a valvoline filter (same as z130a think it was)
feels so much better and smoother already!!
old oil was black, i mean not dirty, but BLACK !
old filter looked original!! pale blue, no serial numbers nothing...
man....feels good now I've done that...
car still seems to fuel cut too often though

Re: what oil filter??
Hi Turbos,
I always try to get at least a 15W-50, or 20w-60 and always change oil and filter every 5k. I haven't used synthetic because of the cost. Admittedly, if you used synthetic, nobody would know that my stem seals leak at idle.
Regards,
Campbell
