T2 hunting

hi my t2 i bought has had a hunting problem from the time i bought it. i found a hose was off, fixed it for a little while untill the motor warmed up, then started agin. some times when i drive it it does not do it but most of the time it does it. my dad thinks the head has corroded due to water coming out of exhaust even when hot, but still goes hard.

Any ideas on what it could be please tell me.

Hey Kenny, when I bought my T2 I had the same problem. Mine turned out to be a pin hole in one of the vacumme lines. Do you also hear a clicking noise from the black box? The hunting on mine was cause by the pin hole in the vacume line that put out the tune so the computer was correcting this by activating one of the vacume switches in the black box which was making the clicking noise and causing the hunting. The problem with mine was I couldnt hear a leak it as it was swiching on and off. Also check the vacume advance diagrames as they are probably perished and causing a vacume leak.
