Overboosting problem solved!
Overboosting problem solved!
I finally found the reason for my T2 overboosting! but not after pulling off the turbo twice to check for cracks, modifing and freeflowing the dump pipe, not to mention the countless times I replaced actuators. I had all but given up on fixing it and the car still ran bad. The clue was the fault lights on the computer that had been lighting up since I can remember. The fault codes suggested a faulty trottle position sensor, so I went out to replace it dispite it testing out OK. As it turns out if it is out of ajustment it will cause the computer to run in limp mode and the fault codes to be displayed. When the computer is running in limp mode it will not modify the ignition timing and thus it will overboost and generally run bad! So anyway the car is now registered and going harder than ever, so look out!
