Boss Kit

Postby city_boy_t1 » Tue Jul 29, 2003 10:45 am

As I have had a look at a few pictures of Honda Citys on the net i have noticed that some people have opted for aftermarket steering wheels.  As citys are old now and there is piss all aftermarket parts available, i presume that they dont make bossikits to suit Honda Citys.
I was wondering if their is another bosskit which can be adapted to suit the City

cheers

Most wheel manufacturers make "universal" boss kits. This is hopefully what I'll be able to use for the
KingDragon wheel I've got.  :) The KingDragon rep assures me it will fit!

Yeah the original wheel is good, whats behind the plastic backing bit..?

ah yes it would.. better with the cover on... just a thought, someone should make an aluminium or carbon fibre cover... save having to buy a 200 dollar steering wheel

How much does carbon fibre cost exactly . . .

My brother has access to it at work to make face masks
and moulds to keep your head in place (radiation therapist)....but he says its not cheap so if some went missing, they'd know about it..

Where can you get it exactly , what sort of costs!!?

never see it with the fibre glass bits!!

A standard Honda Civic Boss will fit and should be available easily.

Yo,
King Dragon make a huge range of performance products. They're mainly known for their air filters and supply for the Ferrari F1 team. They're Italian based and are really big into Karting and F1 powerboats.
Check out http://www.kingsport.co.nz who are the NZ agents. The Italian site appears to be out of action at the moment. I'm hopefully going to be able to do a promo deal with them to get all their road car products in my City.
The road seats are awesome but are not listed on Kingsport's site. About NZ $800 each :-/...need to do a deal ;)

Cheers Michael & Turbo 3

I Appreciate your input.  Not sure how someone can make an universal bosskit as all the splines are different tho.

The best option seems to be is to see if the civic bosskit will fit and if not then to be adapted.

cheers

I think he means they are universal to what wheel they fit not what spline they go onto. Civic will fit on the spline but you would want to check the offset. I had the T2 wheel on my civic and it seemed fine.

It is the same as a 73-79 Civic. There may be a part number for a city- just go to your local auto parts store and look up on their catalogue.

LOL

Every time I go down to my local parts shop and i say I need this and that for my Honda City Turbo....they just laugh and say what you want that hunk of junk for......so i just say "dude just come have a look at it then".....when they do they just either change subject or just shut up.

Anyways I have looked for plenty of other parts and havent had any luck but i will look into the city or civic bosskit

cheers
