*Note:
The paint job cost $1500 at Richmond Auto Painters, If anyone's interested i can get the exact colour reference.  The characteristics of this paint arn't really shown in these photo's, the paint is really bright and shiney during the day in the sun, and at night turns to a really dark bronse sort of colour.

It's been a while so here's an update on the project...

1.  Replaced my old BOV with this:

It's  a GReddy type R and makes one hell of a rackett!!!!  Grin - Cost $280

2.  Installed my 4.1L Falcon fuel pump.  Story time:
Quote:
When we first tested the pump it didn't work but a few bashes with a hammer and it was churning along fine with enough flow for my liking.

We originally tested it with a bucket of fuel and a battery before we mangled my old pump.  After testing this we throught we would install it and spent about 8-10 hours doing so...  and drinking beer.

When we'd installed it and modified the fuel lines to fit we tested it again and found that the fuel pump had a tendancy to stop when too much current was drawn off the battery (starting the car)  It would idle for a few seconds before stopping.

A few more bashes with a hammer and we were off into town for tea thinking that it was a passing problem that would go away.  It didn't and the pump ended up dying properly causing us to get towed back to the shed.

1/2 an hour later we'd installed a VL commodore pump and heaved the old falcon one off the wharf like it deserved.
- Cost 2 dozen beer.

3.  15" Wheels installed:

- $300

Since my last ramble my priorities have changed slightly, i'm currently on the lookout for an EK or EP honda accord engine to do a swap.  Otherwise it's just being run into the ground, the sterio stuff's been pulled out and installed in my fiance's car.  It's basically loosing weight for it's transition to my drag car......

You'll be seeing more of me....
