Re: Honda City Pro T fuel pump question
Hey guys, Does anyone know exactly how the electric fuel pump works in a Pro T? I noticed there isn't a fuel return line... so does that mean the fuel pump somehow idles when the fuel bowl is full in the carby? I had a look at the diagrams in the workshop manual...however it being all in jap makes ...

The computer setup in the city turbo isn't particularly complex, as there is no body computer (immob etc) and no trans computer, you just need the vacuum box and the harness into the computer inside (and the main relay) Other than that, it should be pretty straight forward, ask CJ, he put a turbo in...

If you have put a GT40R coil in, you may have cooked the coil. City runs elec ignition, have to check the manual, but most elec ignition runs significantly higher input voltage on the coil (eg nissan run as much as 400V in to the coil) an R coil is only rated for 9V, and it will cook on most Electro...

Best bet to reduce stress on doors is check the catch adjustments, make it so the door is not tight between the hinge and the catch plate (forward and backward) so as the car flaxes the door isn't sandwiched as much. Also, check under the car. On the cab, there should be some extra struts under the ...

cracks in doors? but doors hold no loads tho.. or do they?? They aren't structural, but flex in the body and chassis stretches and crushes them. All Cabs suffer from this, it's why they are heavier than the roofed equivalent in almost any model of car, which is one of the faults of the approach mos...

I had a similar set of symptoms on my motor when I first got the car, only way to get it to run was with turbo taken out of circuit and with full throttle, but would barely idle. Turned out the head had gone and was fouling plugs etc, pull out your plugs and whizz it over, check nothing comes out, e...

No mini came with a brake booster, not up until really recent models (UK only), you can fit an aftermarket one though, but the mini really doesn't need it ;-) mad-mini, the line you describe is the brake booster, and a t-piece comes off to feed the fueld regulator and the dizzy. That port is a large...

I had something very similar happen to me, the design of the elec switch in the back of the key is bad for shorting out (plastic backing on a copper disk with terminals on it wears through and the spring shorts the plate to ground, frying it all inside) Unfortunately the switch itself is crimped in ...

With a carb, you can check the flow rate by cranking with the line pointed into a jar, see that it flows a bit, not sure on a number, but it won't be high pressure (float bowl needs very little pressure to work) Running rough at idle usually means that teh choke isn't engaging properly, from the man...

The only reason for rigging wastegate atmos to the turbo intake is so that when the supercharger is boosting it doesn't open the wastegate on the turbo, otherwise that will make the turbo idle slower while the supercharger is boosting but when the supercharger stops it will then have to spool up (ca...
