Re: New Build help plzzz
Obviously clearance is the first issue as D-series motors use a crossflow head, whereas the City motors have both manifolds on the firewall side of the engine. You'll have a few challenges doing the conversion but it has been done before. Check out the build threads on here, in particular 'turbocab'...

Re: Top Engine Mount solid mount replacement
Mate this is absolutely brilliant info. Thanks so much for posting! I've been rebuilding a T2 and noticed that every single top engine mount for these things is flogged. I salvaged a few from wrecks and they're all the same. Someone had done the inner tube trick one of them but I've been meaning to ...

Re: MELB - FREE 2 x Radiators, Turbo II Carpet & Interior Bi
One radiator left, as well as carpets and back seats which are in need of TLC. It's all free and will be going in the bin next weekend if not claimed before then.

That's me! The build has progressed a lot further than that, though.

MELB - FREE 2 x Radiators, Turbo II Carpet & Interior Bits
Come and get 'em! http://i418.photobucket.com/albums/pp268/Ryan_JL/Honderp/259FE638-7E6B-401B-B778-8A17A16C2AE3.jpg I've got two City radiators for non-turbo models, possibly T1 as well? I know they're no good for T2s as they don't suit the radiator support and don't clear the intercooler. They're u...

Re: WTB: turbo, radiator, intake pipe, handbrake cables - ME
Cheers for the help so far. We've got almost everything on the list, the only thing we really need to track down is a Turbo II radiator. Any leads would be greatly appreciated!

Cylinder head hot tanking questions
Hi all, I want to get the cylinder head for my City Turbo hot tanked to clean it up. It's currently off the motor with all valves and springs removed. The only things still in the head are the valve guides and the little perforated plates under the CVCC valves. Is it safe to get the hot tank dip wit...

Re: WTB: turbo, radiator, intake pipe, handbrake cables - ME
Yep, this is the one. :) Could we come and pillage bits from the one you're scrapping? We could do with some replacement seats and a few other parts along with the handbrake cables. I'll send you a PM. The Turbo II radiator seems to be different. The filler is in a unique spot to clear the intercool...

WTB: turbo, radiator, intake pipe, handbrake cables - MELB
Hi all, Loving this forum and the wealth of resources on here. Thanks! I've just bought a Turbo II with a friend. We're in the process of tearing down the motor and need a few other bits. We need: - turbo radiator - airbox to turbo intake pipe (just the rubber hose off airbox) - handbrake cables/lin...
