Re: t1 turbo for sale
Is it in good nick? Spins quietly and easily? No play in the shaft?
Definitely interested. Would pay extra if you're willing to post to Oz.

Re: Interchangeablity of T1 and T2 Components
pretty sure that the T1 and T2 cams are different. You should be able to get your cam rebuilt for not too much (cost me around $200)

Re: Engine rebuild
the unreliable rumour was that they didn't make them any more (part number v2028kc for the permaseal)?
Luckily enough for me, i only needed a few of the gaskets. But i'd definitely pick up a full set or 2 if someone was able to source them.

Re: Engine rebuild
he's got my T1 there at the moment and i know he's got another turbo there.
We had a hell of a time finding a vrs gasket kit though. Eventually gave up and had the ones i needed made up.

Nobody has one lying around in their garage? Is it the same as a t2 cvcc valve?

WTB 1 T1 cvcc valve assembly... or head
In Brisbane, but am willing to pay postage. Only need a valve setup, but a spare head wouldn't go astray

Re: Got me another city
She didn't go so well, though i blame driver incompetence more than anything else (first time)... I blew the turbo a while back (leak in the turbo oil feed), and i got the new cam put in when i got the turbo reconditioned. Either the cam, new turbo, or the combination of the new cam and new turbo ...

Re: Got me another city
She's out of commission at the moment, but she'll be back. No 2 isn't firing, and the spark plug is way too oily... The head's off and getting looked at but the good news is that the compression is ok and there's no water in the oil.

Re: WTB T1 Lifters
You're completely right bigelboe. I called the place that did the cam and they're willing to do it. My mechanic said he stuffed up so all's good.
