Re: r Turbo IIs rare?
depends on where you are.. it seems that TII's can be sourced relatively easily in New Zealand.. but in OZ, they are much harder to come by. I HAD a TII and sold it to a bloke in Melbourne (I live in Brisbane) and I currently have a TI which I bought from Canberra because I couldn't find a good on...

Re: Water Pump specs...
might be an expensive call but this is the phone number of Repco Spare Parts in Brisbane, they will most probably do credit payment and ship at a cost to the US/Canada. They should have standard city water pump in stock.

Temp Gauge not working?
Since I have had the clutch put it I've noticed that the temperature gauge isn't comming up. I've had a lok under the bonnet and from what I can see there's a sensor at the base of the radiator, and I can't see too many others. Where is the temp sensor? Also, the top of the radiator is warm.. the b...

Re: Alarm systems
Must admit the good alarms are a lot harder to overcome.. plus you get the added bonus of reducing the cost of insurance. For this the alarm must have at least 3 immob. points and have all black wiring.. I think $100 is well worth the installation since I spent the better part of a day fitting the...

worn clutch might be slipping at at those RPM's and low gearing.. might be continually slipping. who knows.. stick it in 5th.. when you are stationary and see if when you let the clutch out it stalls straight away!! if not, slipping clutch.

Re: Interesting info on hunting & map sensors
Can't see that disconnecting the map sensors is a good idea, I would have though that the factory computer needs that information to determin when the car is on boost, and therefore adjust the fuel maps accordingly.. I agree with the vacuum leak though it there is mixed readings going to the map sen...

Re: any common things related to hunting...
hmm.. vac advance might not necessarily make it hunt my old TII had a shagged vac advance and it idled fine.. then with vac advance replace still idled fine. so I don't think that's it.. I reackon the problem lies somewhere else. I still need to get around to checking all the hoses in the "b...

Re: getting exhaust done
I gotta agree with yur mech.. I don't think making an extra flow section for the wastegate will benefit much when there is so many other restrictions especially on the intake side that will just restrict performance, a 2.5 inch mandrel dump will be very sufficient.. my opinion...
