Re: any common things related to hunting...
Yes my boost gauge works properly, MOST OF THE TIME, occasionally the gauge doesn't work at all.. but I'd say a good 90% of the time it will.., I like your thinking about the valve clearences etc.. the dude at HondaCare told me it would be my camshaft, bad lobes etc.. so I got a spare reground and...

Re: Boost Controller
Don't see any reason why either will not work on a city.. all a boost controll really does is "bleed" boosted air away from the wastegeate regulator, therefore making the wastegate believe it's not yet reached the required boost level.. This causes the wastegate to stay shut longer giving ...

Re: D Series City
I know of a good Cab in Brisbane, good top on it, needs motor (current one blown) would probably be cheap.. car has been sitting at the mechanics for over a year doing nothing.
If only I had an endless supply of cash I would consider a swap like this!

Re: Aftermarket computer idea...
Another update on this guys.. I've re-done the PCB layout.. basically, it's a single sided board, this means you can make the board yourself using a $40 (approx) kit from Jaycar or Dick Smith, latest pics at http://www.pbase.com/animalector in the inbox.. the other one is the old board I'm going t...
Re: cam

Re: my civic running
So have you any idea what they're going to use for the ECU or did they just say they could do it.. and that was it? thing is we're all really keen on finding out how to adapt an aftermarket ECU for the CVCC function and as yet, we're not getting far.. If you find out more from these performance p...

Re: Aftermarket computer idea...
It's the old problem of just where to stop modifying the engine.. and normally everything is modified to the extent where there is no original engine left. I like the idea of the stock motor.. and find out what's going on with the CVCC.. if we can work around what we've got rather than having to fa...

Re: any common things related to hunting...
fella before me just bought new leads for it so I don't think that's it. I will try upgrading the size as a last resort though so thanks for the suggestion I'm getting ym Cam tomorow.. yay.. we'll see ho0w it goes after that.
Re: cam
Just put my Camshaft in for a rebuild and regrind.. $210 and it'll be a mild performance grind, with 2 lobes being rebuilt one was almost completely round... hmm.. anyways should be done Friday.
