Thanks Pete for the suggestion - quite right it is an air leak - actually a slightly misaligned throttle plate.

Re: T1 parts required
The MAP sensors themselves are the two black square looking devices with three wires going into each, that are mounted inside the metal tray with all the vacuum hoses going in. (about 3 cm * 3 cm * 2 deep) Round plugs (one white, one green) on the MAP sensors. You also need the trim resistor that ha...

Diagnostic help - engine hunts
Got the turbo engine running ok in the Civic body (we previously had a wire missing off the air inlet temp sensor which is fixed now) Starts reasonably easily but hunts between 1,000 and 2,200 rpm on about a two to three second cycle. Tried disconnecting the idle up solenoid, which was clicking awa...

Re: Needed: Crank angle sensor
We have a couple of cam TDC sensors, if that is what you mean? Goes on the end of the camshaft, tells the computer when the TDC has come round? No other TDC sensor I know. They are both readily at hand. If this is what you need, how much would you offer?

Part numbers for inlet and exhaust are 12210-PC1-003 and 12211-689-013 on the diagrams on the web. If you take these numbers to a Honda spare parts dealer, they can tell you that one has an equivalent part number. They are in current use on a number of models. We got ours (JohnT & CT) at Nordic ...

Re: Computer fault code of 3 & 2
Thanks Henry & Glenn.
In Sydney at the moment, but when I'm back home I'll check out the sensor. Makes sense - being a dog to start when cold, gets easier once its run. Just like having no choke - which would come from no Temp sense.
Many thanks

Computer fault code of 3 & 2
Trying to get the engine running smoothly. It runs at moderate revs (1500 plus..) but if we back off the throttle simply stalls. If we look at the computer after the stall, lights 3 & 2 are lit. Anyone know the meaning? Is there a computer code reference anywhere? Turbo II computer, I believe, w...

Diagnosing failure to start on run up of re-build
Can anyone help with trouble shooting ideas? We have rebuilt a City Turbo engine, all re-assembled in Civic body, wired up to computer, MAPs, O2 sensor etc all connected. Seems to have spark, seems to have fuel, but will only cough and splutter and not get up and go. The cam wheel "TDC line&quo...
