Re: Side Skirts for T2
Yo Ben, No idea how much mine were really, just part of the bodywork costs. Materials were cheap, but the expertise to craft and attach them is the expensive bit. May be able to organise some panel work for ya. I think Turbo2 in Hamilton used some plastic guttering for his and it looks awesome! ;D...

Re: Side Skirts for T2 (Pete you got any?)
Yo Ben, Mine are mig welded, folded metal, custom jobs. They're attached to the original door sills and include the nifty brake cooling vent. ;D Have seen some plastic ones on a few T1s but not sure where to source them from. Foxton Plastics in Chch may be able to help. I'll ask if you like. :) Pe...

Re: Aftermarket Computers
Yeah, I think the brown steamy stuff flows strongly with him ;D I'm about to install the Microtech LTX-8 and will run ignition as well. Complete fabricated intake using modded City "E" head meant not using CVCC, so keeps it much easier. Running individual coils per cyl too as igniters are...

Re: overheating...why?...why?..why?
Yo Crooky, If you've just done the gasket, I would look at the pump impellers. Mine did the same and upon inspection, there was just a rusty stub on the pump shaft. No impellers at all!! :o Are you sure the gasket is sealing properly? Correct type, properly fitted etc? ??? Check the colour of your...

Re: CityTurbo.com Stickers!
Yep, Keen over here. Think it should look at bit more like our website banner though. I know there was lots of debate on colour/style etc, but it looks a bit boring! Same with the cards. I did 10 based on the banner graphics. Look very professional when laminated! Example: http://www.cityturbo.com/g...

Re: Honda City ute
Hey guys, The ute looks a pretty cool idea. Have looked into the shuttle driveline and may NEED to do it if my T3 has issues getting 200+HP to the ground through two wheels. :-/ Resisting as it will make it an even bigger project than it is already. It's an idea if I really want some good 1/4 mile ...

Re: oxy sensor or cat.temp sensor?!?!?!
Hey, was just wondering where it was. Suspect my O2 sensor may be giving false readings. Getting error code 1 after giving the car a bit of boost then backing off. Results in missing, coughing and just no throttle response. Will then burst into life briefly and mess around until computer warning lig...

Re: I Just need some info on turbos
Oops, I'll start again, Yo benhnz1, The best place in Chch for turbos is Turbo Technology down Wordsworth St. Have a chat to Phil, Philip or Jason and say Pete sent you. After they finish going into all the stuff they've done on my car, they'll give you good advice and may even be able to sell you m...

Re: Am i spending too much?
Hmmm, the cost issue. You start doing little bits then find you need to spend BIG dollars to get around some things that sounded cheap and easy. Nothing is too much depending on what you want as the finished product. As some show cars have rims over $10,000 you can feel justified that what you're do...
Re: Subs!
Hmmm, the funny letters should have been an "ohms" symbol. Guess it doesn't work by pasting from the character map. :-/

Re: Subs!
Totally agree! Have been using the Jaycar 2 x 100 and a 4 x 50 before I did the structural stuff on the car. Had two 8" 8Ω Carbon fibre drivers (also Response - Jaycar)paralelled as the subs and ran the amp bridged. It rocked big time!! ;D

Re: Subs!
Just doin the sub for mine. Jaycar 10" metal cone, dual coil. It's one heavy mother so should thump quite well! ;D Making a truncated pyramid shape box where the rear seats were and firing into it. Removable for the odd trip to the drag strip.
Give it heaps Hondagirl!

Who's site is this?
Yo all,
Just having a look for brake upgrade stuff and came across this site. It has a link to Cityturbo.com and has a great bit on die cast models
http://people.mail2me.com.au/~bertrand/bitland/city_turbo/city.htm
Want to get some models if anyone can help.
Cheers,
Pete

Re: When the Honda bug bit.
First experience was a new City "E" that my Mum got in 1986. Very easy to drive and quite happy to spin up the front end. Saw a T2 at a nearby car yard a year later. Fronted up in Mums City and said words like "upgrade" to the salesman. He came with me and I watched his head lurc...
