Re: Overheating 1984 honda r
Not to sure whats going on there, thermostat most likely removed to help stop overheating issue, water pump could be an issue however the original copper radiators are notorious for the cores getting blocked causing them to run hotter than normal but if you have flushed it & flows fine then i ca...

Re: FS/Takeaway City Cab off to the scrappy end of july
Bro do you have a centre console for stereo....I'm up in Napier Yo, 'down in Napier' lol. Are you wanting a Turbo city style stereo holder that covers the gear stick or the typical N/A type one that screws to the bottom of the dash but doesn't cover over the gear stick? I have both however you will...

Re: Bulldog Engine for sale
I only read your post briefly but if that picture is the engine that you are saying is a Bulldog T2 engine then you are likely to be incorrect, the engine in that photo is a T1 (100ps) engine unless someone has replaced the T2 manifolds with T1 items but no one would do that, i'd need some more clos...

Re: distributor cap problem... where to get one
if it's the wrong phase, can't you move the plug leads? I believe he is meaning that the position of the pickup points is different to the standard cap (a few mm to early or late) which will effect timing dramatically, not the firing order 1,3,4,2. And at a guess there isn't enough slot to allow th...

Re: Black top and Red top
Hello. Red tops are JDM however in New Zealand there are some late model red top city's that were classed as 'NZ New' however they weren't NZ Assembled. As far as i'm aware of, all NZ New (NZ Assembled!) city's are Black Tops with manual transmissions however i could be completely wrong. Main differ...

Re: manifolds how tha firetruk
Yeah man its wise to upgrade to a better pressure line dedicated to the wastegate, dizzy line is definitely not a good place to start, at least you are onto it enough to notice that is likely to be the cause.

Re: Honda city turbo motor 1 or 2
Hit up Alex, he has a few T2 engines, '3gspares' on Trademe. If that doesn't work you can buy my Turbo City & take all the parts with it, i may be moving so may need it gone, 1000 bux, cant promise anything though.

Re: Extreme idle hunting, help!
It does sound like the idle screw is set to high but also check the rocker cover breather hose on the cambelt end as they tend to split roughly half way between the throttle body & rocker cover, you can tell if they are split as they leak small amounts of oil around the hose.

Re: manifolds how tha firetruk
How did you get on Blitza? James is fairly right there, you have to unbolt all the throttle body etc to get to those two bolts how ever you do not need to unbolt those two bolts to remove the manifolds from the head but you still need to remove the throttle body (plus gaskets) to remove the heat shi...

Re: Adjustable Suspension?
Hello Spike. I had some KYZ shocks from SpeedFactor in Tauranga which they made up some threaded steel bars that fitted into the standard City knuckles but i sold them to Turdbo a while back. The Cobra side of things was to get springs made up for the standard City shocks.
