all up an running now ..runs ok but when u get on boost it misses like feck and doesnt go n e where ,doesnt reach full boost ??? n e ideas??

turbo is water cooled,but i blocked them off so no water is connected...think i may take my head off again and inspect. shouldnt take that long as i will just pull the head off as is and leave the manifolds and that on ,and i can get a gasket for $45 though a mate .I cant think why it would have blo...

found a few pin holes in my i/c fixed themwent to put everything togetha .took off my down pipe...seemd 2 be water coming out of my turbo....just after that there apeard a boot dent in my door >:( and a lot of swearing.....got a tad pissed off as this is leading me to believe my gaskets gone again ,...

well thats what i was told,so im guessing it must have been a custom one ???.but any way ,replaced the wastegate flapper thing,which my last idea of what could be wrong,and it still doesnt boost.....helllllllppppp!!!!!!

im told its a primary turbo off a lexus v8,but similer model to gtx.i put on the actuator off my old turbo that used to open at 12.but kind of done my own thing on the flapper which i suspect mite have gone wrong and not be seating properly against the exhaust housing..so il go check that out after ...

thinking  about it.the only thing i can think of is its the wastegate.ill take the exhaust off an check tonite

ok.took off all my maifolds .cleand then all up made sure i sealed everything,every gasket all up good and proper ,done a quick job of all my vacume hoses (will go over them properly sumtime ,but from first look there ok) and went for a drive down the road.Theres hardley any noticable kick from the ...

Whats the thing that the fuel line goes into before it goes to the injectors?round black thing.also how do i  get to the windscreen washer container,i havnt had a proper look yet ,but i think thats where my leak is.

decided not to go.A few things i want to iron out before goin.Theres a vacume leak sumwhere cos it hunts like f**k.Also it doesnt boost -or rather boosts but doesnt go anywhere .I think its leaking between the turbo and the exhaust manifold and between the inlet and head because i used the wrong sea...

just redone cam timing.turns out i was write the first time an my mate put it a tooth out.fired up first pop.just gona do my valve clearances an off up to auckland to the nats

i got the leads going anti clockwise 1342 from the socket by the clip with the little line by it.Im gona go chech if the line on the cam pully and the arrow line up when i get home.The way i had it my mate recond i was a tooth out ,so i mite have been right in the first place.lol.Oh well ,ill hav an...

Have just put my engine back togetha and it wont start. ???when it turns over it doesnt fire so much as pop/backfire.we tried towing it and it just backfired hard out.Im not sure if i got the timing right.I got a mate to double check the cam timing so that should be ok.Which way round does the crank...
