Would be hard taking them out with the crank. Just take the head off. Dont know if its the correct procedure but iv done it twice now on T2 engines. Inside outwards. Then the same when sticking it back on but do them all up to 20ft/lb first then on to 42ft/lb Cant remember what the rods are done up ...
Its already ridiculously long stroke, I wouldn't think you would want to hurt the redline any more. Even at 25 psi boost with the stock, very low CR of 7.6:1, I would be extremely surprised if you were being limited by detonation, rather than piston / rod strength, especially with the very high oct...

Thats quite spot on. For testing with D series SOHC, 1 degrees moves the power band around 1800rpms. So there wouldnt be much point retarding it since the head's dont flow well enough to make any power up there anyway. But advancing might make it a lot nicer to drive around town with more low torque.

Will need a custom dizzy. Need to ditch the CVCC (mate up a non-cvcc head and manifolds) The OBD0/1 Map/ECT/IAT/ICV/Speedo sensors. Along with the obvious wiring changes. For all the effort you could just drop in a D series which will make more power in stock + turbo form then a worked city turbo en...

Few of the D series boxs come factory LSD, And aftermarket ones cost around $700-800 depending on strength of NZD. Iv been measuring everything up today and it should just fit with out having to modify the firewall if you get the intake manifold shortened and use a custom exhaust turbo manifold so y...

Iv already got that book marked.

Id be mounting the engine back a bit more on a slight backwards lean because id have a much shorter intake manifold.
Also I wont have massive 4-1 exhaust headers lol.
Thanks for the reply tho.

Info on d15b+turbo swap into city T2?
Does any one have any links to info that would be relivent to swapping a D series such as a d15b in to a city T2? Im sick of killing turbos on the stock engine from over boosting them and I know that you can get 200-250HP out of a stock d15b with a turbo very easily. Id be swapping all the parts fro...

WTB: Cheap T2 ECU
Looking for a cheap T2 ecu so I can continue my reverse engineering.
Some things stuffed out on my chipped one and now it gives you a small zap when you turn the key. I dont really want to have to use my stock spare T2 ecu since then if it happens again Ill be left with out a working ecu.

Fuel gauge signal.
How would you check the fuel gauge wire signal with out the fuel gauge. My fuel gauge has stopped reading again and last time it was the sender unit. How can I check with a multi-meter if its still giving a signal so then I know if its the cluster/wire/sender thats broken. Its the yellow/white wire ...
