Re: T1 Misfire/Boost Cut Shennanigans
Bugger, shame you don't live near me as then you could just bring it around & swap over parts until we found the issue. One other thing to check is to make sure all the vacuum lines are correctly connected, sometimes if you get a couple around the wrong way the car wont run right, I had this iss...

Re: bitterberry
Yeah both turbos have four studs, reason I ask is that it could be a T2 housing as they are bigger than T1 but still don't have an exhaust inlet that big, that's why I assume its been opened up but yeah you could be right as it may have been hi-flowed if all holes are bigger, either way its worth ke...

Re: bitterberry
Just thinking about it apparently there were some aftermarket exhaust housings made by HKS in the 80's for the city, they were a straight replacement for the standard housing so you just bolt the standard T1 or T2 turbo to it. All that was different was that it had a larger scroll than standard to i...

Re: bitterberry
Sorry to be a buzz kill but that's a standard T1, chances are someone has had that turbo off in the past & die grinded the inlet to improve flow, I do this with all my turbos but don't notice any difference. T2 turbos should read VG4 not VG3 & by the looks of your standard T1 turbo its showi...

Re: FS - Genuine 14" Mugen Wheels & Tyres
Yeah I do still have them as I've been using them, the person keen on them hasn't gotten back to me so im guessing they are not that interested anymore so im going to strip the tyres off & sell them I think but that wont be for a few more weeks yet but ill PM you. I see you are down south, I was...

Re: Possible Brake Upgrades?
Nah man still 4x100, I don't want to have to change hubs to a 4x114 configuration but it could be done if you found the right one that will fit the City knuckle or a custom made one but its probably easier to just get the wheels drilled to suit PCD.

Re: Possible Brake Upgrades?
Nah im giving Turdbo the 240's as I don't run T2 knuckles so cant use them, I just got them for him. I have spare T2 knuckles that I test fitted the 240's on. If you want to get 240's for N/A 140mm knuckles then use GA3 ones, they come off the TS version Honda Logo which uses larger 240's, that's wh...

Re: Possible Brake Upgrades?
So I had Saturday off work for a change & used that time wisely to hunt around the wreckers for some brake upgrades as it seems to be a common topic here on this site so I thought I would post something about it. I had never really worried about brake upgrades until I thought more about a Vtec c...

Possible Brake Upgrades?
I've been playing around with brake upgrades for the red City to find that the front ones i removed from the GA2 City (1988-1993) & calipers bolt straight onto the standard City-E hubs & knuckles, Now with that said the standard City-E disk are 210mm diameter solids but the GA2 City ones are...

Re: 100km chime/ where is buzzer located?
Look at the pictures in the post 'Last of the T2 Speedos', here you will see the back of the speedo which you will see the little round buzzers on the top right, you do not need to cut the wires as there are plugs that can just be unplugged but im sure you would have worked that out once you pulled ...

Same clutch plate in all Citys but T1 has a different pressure plate to suit the flywheel.

Re: bitterberry
Yeah man I still got it but I may use it again since its just sitting there doing nothing. You've gone to all that effort to get the rodeo turbo on there so just pull the motor out but like i said about removing the mount & frame to make it easier to get a full length spanner in there, that's ho...

Re: T1 Misfire/Boost Cut Shennanigans
Haha true, I didn't even take into account of the different turbo, im not sure of actuator spring pressure for it. If your are only making 11psi boost at 5000rpm then theres something not right, Bitters had the same issue on his so yeah maybe he can help more. You should be hitting 11psi by 3000rpm ...
