replacement engine wanted

Postby lomasorama » Mon Jul 17, 2006 1:43 pm

Hi everyone, my poor little T1 engine has died and i am trying to source a replacement engine somewhere in new zealand preferably the north island. I have rung a few wreckers and what not but i am having a fairly hard time finding anything.
If anyone has an engine for sale, or knows of anything any info would be appreciated.
Cheers

I think i may have found an engine for you!! I was taiking to a guy from a wreckers a couple of weeks ago in the north island and he had a city turbo engine that was fully reconditioned but he hadnt run it yet!

I cant remember who he was but will look into it today for you and let you know!

I think he quoted me $675 + gst ??? ..........seemed like a bargain to me!

If i were you i would go for it!!

Stand by for info in the next day or so!

There is two engines at New Plymouth Wreckers in New Plymouth, ones a T2 and ones a T1 both running when pulled, probably about $200 for the engine

yea it should fit perfectly except for the intercooler(heater). T2 bonnet is the way to go :)

It makes it easier if you get the T2 emisions control box too, the black squid thingy, they are different on T1 and T2. The gearboxes are also different, but they bolt on the same.

The gearbox is only swappable if you have the flywheel to match.
