Terminal velocity
Re: Terminal velocity
hey always happens like that hey instead of a onetonner pplate would it be possible to rip out a mirage gearboc and put that it with the resective adaption plate
Re: Terminal velocity
Only if you want 1 forward gear and 5 reverse. City turbo motor spins the other way to the mitsu engine. That being said if the mitsu drivetrain sits west-east instead of east-west (ie the opposite of the city) then the diff would hang out of the front of the car. Also a bit inconvenient.

heheehe!
Re: Terminal velocity
Back to the real topic. My T2 has seen an indicated 161+.
Speedo accuracy? Check it going down the Newell once against a GPS, indicated 100km was consistently 96kmh. Checking it just south of Albury on those speed checkers that the Victorians have spread about the place, 110 on the speed gave a 104 on the overhead display.
I can't see why anyone is still having problems with their speedo illumination. The odometer lighting is woeful, but all of the lights in my binacle have worked since I did the hard wiring on the speedo bulbs.
And the maximum indicated speed that we can see is 199, And if the way she felt at the 150 plus (yes, I've seen that a few times.) is any indication, it should be very stable.
Regards,
Campbell

Re: Terminal velocity
I can guarantee that the speedo stops at 180. Most jap cars are electronically limited to 180 so I gues this is why.

Re: Terminal velocity
yeah i actually got mine ova 180 just outside akaroa i think its takamatua, you know.. the big downhill straight, i hit 180 about three quaters of the way down i might have even been at 200 cos it started getting a little scary... aye i've seen some real bad accidents there, like an rx7 t-boning a laser at 180... yeah it was totaly fatal

Re: Terminal velocity
Hence i have just acquired a T2 but have also had a T1 for a while.....I have noticed that in 5th gear the T2 sits on 100 at about 2800 revs as where my T1 on does 2500, and also the T1 in 3rd gear at 60 kmph sits on 2500 where as the T2 on 3000.
Do all T2s have shorter gears as this could be why they have a slower top speed
Cheers

Re: Terminal velocity
its probably a lower diff ratio.. maybe to combat the higher drag ratio
Re: Terminal velocity
Meaning that box in my aerodynamic (well, its better that a City brick!)Civic is gonna make it drag like a b*tch ;D ;D ;D
