yes they are FWD, though they're a bit bigger than the city turbo engine. THey're 1.3L and twin cam so wider already, also have crossflow head (intake and exhaust on opposite sides, so it may be too wide for the city engine bay.  Maybe consider Suzuki Cuppacino 660cc turbo motor, quite quick so I have been told. can't remember the motor code.. F6A maybe?

Any non-honda swap is gonna need custom axels made up. They have to be done properly and balanced etc. Not sure of prices but unless you can get a mate to do it it will be expensive.

Have you looked at a Honda D-series motor? Either ZC 1600 DOHC (tight fit) or a D15/16 SOHC VTEC. You can use your factory axels with these motors if you get the right gearbox. Custom wiring and some fueling and they will go very hard.

Yes. Check the turbo and look for oil leaks. Check the dipstick and see if its got old crusty oil in it. Gearbox is an easy swap. If you have an EB civic? then you can probably use that box without too much hassle, i know you can go the otherway easilly.

F5A's are crap go the newer motor. other option is a CB70 (I think) twin cam version of the Charade Turbo. The CB60 is the carby turbo CB70 has much more respectable power, and much more modern motor (harder to get though) in my opinion stick with Honda City turbo motor, or just buy a different car.

Why would you bother complicating things by going for a non-honda motor?! A D-series Honda engine has been proven to fit, many people have done it and sorted out all the problems so you should be able to get it in with a minimum of hassle. AND as you can get 500whp out of a turbo D-series that shouldnt be causing you any lost sleep either ::)

It would be much easier just to replace the engine with another of the same type. It just depends what you want to do with the car and how much you wanna spend. If its a daily hack then replace the engine. If its a daily driver that you want to be driving for the next 10 years then by all means go for a rebuild. If its a fast car you want then look for an easy city turbo swap, if its a VERY fast car and you have a bit of cash handy, then go for a harder swap with a bigger engine and maybe a turbo as well if you feel the need 8)
