Here you go, try this out...

http://www.topgear.com/content/new_cars/features/importing/01/

about importing, now article seems to be about importing cars from Europe...although it seems to have
links to gov/transport dpt. info on regulations etc.

Also do a search on "importers UK "...google or something, you'll find dozens of importers of Jap cars over there...I found a few already,,,

Hey thanks for the replys guys, the links were cool especially top gear, have been searching google but most jap importers specialise in new cars but I have asked a couple to consider getting a City Turbo,, still waiting to get a call from one.

Talking of Civics I have two, a mk1 79 dx hondamatic  1.2 32000 miles and still with its factory plastic on the interior cards. bought it from wales 5 weeks ago and I love it. I'm not sure what EB? it is but I will check.
I also have a mk2 80 1335 hodamatic 52000 miles I had to tow it from london but only cost me 50 quid!!!!!

I know there is a mk1 75 EB1 57000 miles on uk ebay right now in the classic cars section the reserve hasn't been met but its only at 300 quid I was thinking of getting it if I can afford to.
I just missed a mk2 on ebay 80 facelift 1335 18000 miles, garadged all its life it was like a new car I was gutted to miss that one I can tell you.
thank for helping out I know I will have a City Turbo over here soon  and I can't wait.
Cool guys check ya later.

I've been looking into importing and I can't do a personal import, so i'm thinkin of buying a honda jazz over here in uk and importing the guts out of a T2 and implanting them which I expect/hope it should be pretty straightforward, is there anybody out there that has done this before, and if so do they have any pointers or ideas?
Also does anyone know if you can buy a standrd T2 kit for a jazz/city.
I am kind of stuck between getting a turbo imported or the jazz implant, or a engine swap with my mk1 civic or my mk2 civic, out of the three which way would be most ecenomic and time savingly viable?
Any help on the jazz idea would be great as I can't find much on the jazz to find out if they are the same as austrailian  versions.

If your going to import the guts, why not just import the whole car, they should fit in a container, make it a lot easier for a transplant and less likely for the engine to get damaged. And its much easier to move the stuff if its on wheels.  ;)
