hey guys, finally got my hands on a city turbo tonight, pretty immaculate besides the engine lol, its done over 300thousand k's - still drives alright, like the turbo seems all good etc.

Bad news is its blown a headgasket, im guessing anyway as it chuffs a heap of smoke at start up and overheats heh.

The problem I need advice with is at around 5k it cuts out, like a hard boost cut (but its only running standard boost, and cut is at 16psi for them apparently).

Fuel cut maybe? any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Boost cut. Wastegate is either jammed shut or the actuator is broken.

really? it doesnt really feel like its boosting that much, i'll hook up a boost gauge and check it out. how do I know if its jammed shut?

oh and i also have an idling problem lol, it dips and raises, but not all the time... :-/
