EOI - City Lowering Kit - Street Spec

Postby civic_zr » Sun Apr 15, 2012 9:55 pm

Hi all

First of all, I don't want to be stepping on James toes here. What I have to offer is not a fully custom setup like his, rather something to lower a car for daily driving duty. James's setup is awesome, and when they're in production, and I can afford them I'll be buying one..

But for the moment, I've worked out a package that can tuck 165/65 R13 tyres, this gives a massive drop over factory height.

It consists of 2x Front struts (New or used depending on what you want to spend) 4x Lowering springs.

Packages will be around $500NZ, if anyone is interested.

Spring costs are the real ball breaker, at around $400 a set :s

Rear springs 100% captive, Front 10-15mm un-captive, I can arrange for shock shortening for a little extra. Travel is retained at both ends, heaps at the front, but somewhat limited at the rear. But best possible without going down the fully custom route.

Will post up some photos of my ride height if anyone is interested.

This sounds like a very good setup for people who want drop without getting cert (or waiting for me!).

What ground clearance do you get at the front x-member after installing this gear?
