Speedo cable on t2

Speedo cable in my T2.
My speedo cable is shot and I need to replace it. I've tested the cluster and when I turn it with an Allen key the digital speed works! also the speedo drive shaft does turn whilst driving.
The problem is the Speedo drive shaft slips down inside the outer casing and won't couple to the receiving side of the speedo.
Does a normal city pro t cable do the job as a replacement or does it have to be T1 or T2?
I'm in W.A does anyone know where I could get one?
Thanks.
