I'm looking for connecting rod dimensions

Postby Mont » Wed May 14, 2014 3:41 am

Hi! I'm happy, fresh owner of Honda Jazz(city in europe). :) I try to simulate engine on computer software to choose proper performance modifications and I need connecting rod dimensions.
Could you check the dimension described as "a" on this figure?

I would be a greatful and it could develop information about modification of our engines.

ull find the the rods are normally the same size of the stroke of the engine. so it will be 90MM

Sorry, but that is just completely wrong. You will never find any engine where the rod length is the same as the stroke, it's physically impossible.

No i can't answer that as im not 100% sure because the N/A City's use smaller big end bearings than the Turbo City's & i don't have N/A rods to measure, i have Turbo rods but they could run a different stroke so i don't want to give any numbers as they could differ. If you are doing a built why not strip your motor down to find out for your self. Oh and im aware that all ER City engines are classed as 1.2Ltr but N/A pistons are quite different than Turbo ones so thats why there could be a stroke difference of a couple millimeters.

thanks for the answer.
I don't care about bearings. I need only length-dimension "a" on the figure. So tell at least numbers for turbo connecting rods.
I want to do only a CAE simulation of that engine. Real built maybe in future :)

Here are the dimensions from a T1 rod, I had been doing some engine work so remembered to do this just for you
