T1 limited slip diff - coming soon

Hi,
I know this topic has been covered quite a bit in the past but it doesn't look like it's surfaced for a little while.

It appears to me that the T1 has basically the same gearbox as an EN Civic, just different ratios. It looks like the diff centre is the same as the Civic one. You guys might be interested to know that a helical LSD similar to the torsen/quaife style will be available very soon. I know that Mark had some made many years ago by KG Engineering, but they have been out of business for some time and were quite expensive when they were available.
I'm having these developed primarily for the 1st gen Civic but as they have the same diff as 2nd gen Civic boxes and it appears T1 and I assume other early ER boxes they will also be good for you guys. The first test sample should be ready in the next few weeks and once that's been tested and approved, a production run will go ahead. Around a dozen 1st gen Civic people are on board at the moment (10 deposits were needed for anything to happen).
If anybody is interested just let me know ...

Quaife makes one that will fit a TII http://shop.quaife.co.uk/honda-civic-city-quaife-atb-helical-lsd-differential. More expensive than these will be but the chances of getting the minimum number of deposits together (10) to get it redeveloped are practically zero.

Have you got any pictures of this diff you are producing?

It'll look something like this one (this is a generic image from the manufacturer's website).

The test diff arrived today. I'll be installing it as soon as I can to see how it fits and works.

Just in case one of you guys are actually interested in this little beastie, I've installed the test diff in a box (82/83 2nd gen Civic which is the same as used in the T1) and it fitted perfectly. I'll be testing it out at the Australian Motorkhana Championship this coming weekend (4th/5th October). Assuming it performs as expected, I'll consider it tested and ready for production. There will be a couple of weeks after that in which to get on board with the initial run at a significantly reduced cost to what they will be after the first batch.

Doesn't seem to be any interest from the City T1 crowd but just in case someone is lurking around who might want one, I tested it on the weekend and it's good :D . The cutoff date for orders (paid up) is 20th October ...
