The two manifolds are bolted together, and you have to slide them both off the studs on the head at the same time too. Can't remember exactly how much you have to take apart but I think the intake heat shield or something covers the bolts that hold the two manifolds together so if you want them apart you have to do some dissasembly.

How did you get on Blitza? James is fairly right there, you have to unbolt all the throttle body etc to get to those two bolts how ever you do not need to unbolt those two bolts to remove the manifolds from the head but you still need to remove the throttle body (plus gaskets) to remove the heat shield to expose some of the manifold studs/nuts that need removing to get manifolds off of the head.

Yeah I managed it, all back on and running, just having difficulty with the boost controller source air. (I took it off the dizzy retard line, cause it was easy, but i think it was consuming too much air and buggering up the timing)

so I'll fix that when I get around to it, otherwise it 'seems' ok, hits boost cut.................

Yeah man its wise to upgrade to a better pressure line dedicated to the wastegate, dizzy line is definitely not a good place to start, at least you are onto it enough to notice that is likely to be the cause.
