Temp Gauge problem

Postby ct » Sat May 03, 2003 3:38 pm

Hi Everyone,
My city powered first gen civic with a GT17 turbo is almost ready I just have to iron out a few bugs and was wondering if anybody has any ideas on how to solve a couple of problems. My temp gauge in the dash is not working and as i had to put two looms together i think i may have crossed over a wire. Does anybody know which temperature sensor talks to the temp gauge. I think that it is either the single wire or dual wire sensor in the side of the block but i don't know which one. Also the car will not start when cold. I can start the car by spraying some engine start spray into the intake and it will then start every time once the car is warm. Any ideas on this would be great!

Also when you time the car using the timing light should the light be lighting up the TDC mark or the 28 degree mark on the flywheel?

Cheers
Chris ;D
