T1 Intercooler piping ???

Postby city_boy_t1 » Tue Jul 01, 2003 10:56 pm

OK heres my problem...

I have a T1 and have a mitsubishi starion front mounted intercooler (not plumbed up).  Now i want to plumb it up myself as i have access to a hydraulik pipe bender.

Being a t1 means that if the pipes were all 2 inches in diameter, i would have to fit 3 of them (air filter, turbo out, inlet) near the turbo/inlet area.  I have seen what BOOSTBOY (glen) has done and i think it is a neat idea but dont really want to cut a hole on top of the plenum unless i know exactly what im getting into.

If someone can please explain what has to be done to plumb the pipes up like BOOSTBOY or if someone else has done it another way.  I would really be interested to find out what can be done in the way of plumbing up an intercooler to a T1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

THX

the plumbing i've got on my t2 goes straight to the plenum ithink you can see it at nz games but i dont think its a very good foto.... also the t2 has a different plenum to the t1 i think the t1 faces backwards whereas the t2 faces to the side?
