Henry,

How can i eliminate this problem with the sensors? Where is the crank angle sensor? So this could be one reason why my T2 runs pretty sluggish? I hope so, I want to really feel my T2 going hard!

Thanks,

Chhun.

Should there be any lights on?

No, if your car is running correct than there should be no lights on, but before diagnosing the problem disconnect the battery to reset the codes then when/if any lights are on add the number which the light represents and that will give you a fault code.

I think that code 1 is the oxygen sensor. This is the sensor that is located in the exhaust manifold near the engine stabilisor. Dont get confused with the sensor in the dump pipe.

After having a look at my computer
There are 1,2,4,8 LED lights on the computer

My 2 and 8 is on.

Doest this mean something wrong with my engine?
Or just the sensor problem?

Also what does Open circuit means?

I pulled the battery out and reset it. No lights is on but when I pull out the Sensor near the PGM F1
The 2 and 8 is on again....

Hey Blitz, open circuit means it's not connected to anything, I think lights 2 and 8 means you have just pulled out the TA sensor. Probably the one by the PGM FI. Why pull it out???

i am just testing the computer.. By the way i reset the battery and the lights gone just as i pull it out again, LED 2 and 8 is on but when i plugged it back . The lights still on and i restart my car again,, still on......... so i just have to reset the battery again..

problem comes now.. many misfiring and it is not smooth going from 1000 ro 3000 rpm untill it is full boost.. i am not sure what is going on.. plus sometimes the cars go fine just like one or two times, really no idea man..

i hope sensor having problem rather than my engine.. cause sometime if i rev too much the idling go up and down when i stop my car..

hope members can help me out

Sounds like it could be a loose/ corroded battery connection.

Yo DR86

Would have thought that if the crank angle sensor wasn't working, the beast just wouldn't run. As I understand it, crank angle sensor is where the injector timing pulses come from, no crank angle sense signal, no firing of the fuel injector. So unlikely to be a crank angle sensor problem. Maybe someone can confirm?

Yeah John,

You're right. How would it be running if there is no vital info for running of the engine? Spooky... Anyone???

John T and DR86. I go along with your thinking, crank angle sensor should be firing the injectors and if it wasn't working you would think that nothing else would. Information that I have, (Honda stuff) says that lights 1 & 8 means Cylinder sensor, (otherwise known as crank angle sensor) Symptoms are Irregular idle speed and poor pick up response. To have these the thing must be able to run. Can only guess that the injectors may not be firing at the right time! Did you check your sensor against the info I supplied DR86 and what was the result?  Henry

Henry,

I'm not to sure how I shall undertake the 'checking' of the sensor. Do I just use a simple multimeter? No power is required to go through the sensor, right? Never done this work before.

Just looking at the position of the sensor, it looks like a bloody nightmare to get to (just like you said). My guess is that the ECU is operating in 'Limp home' mode (retardation of timing, richness in fuel mixtures, etc...). Would that be right?

Chhun.
