Turbo II
Turbo II
Hello,
I'm in Australia, was a Honda Tech for 20 years and had a Flouro Yellow Honda City Pro T as a work car for years.
Just obtained my first Honda City Turbo II. Not 100% sure on year, it has anologue speedo though so I imagine 85-86.
I've just finished getting some panel and paint tidied up and some rust repaired.
I'll add a photo when I work out how.
I do have a couple of queries;
Does anyone know if the front wheel bearings are the same on a T2 to an Oz spec Pro T?
Can anyone provide me with brand and part numbers for lowered springs?
Cheers.

Re: Turbo II
Welcome to the board mate. Would love to see a pic of your car sometime soon!
What colour is she? Any mods?
Where abouts in Oz? I'm on the NSW central coast.

Welcome Turbo II. 2nd the request for pics. Lowered springs...the holy grail of Honda Citys - Bitterberry has the ZOOM lowering springs on his car I believe, and I've been told/shown Honda CRX aftermarket coilovers can be fitted, but never been able to get actual part numbers etc. used from anyone. I've found that sticking a Motocompo in the back of my Turbo II lowers it pretty nicely...

I'm southern NSW. Someone able to tell me how to post pics?
Re: Turbo II
oh, White, stock apart from wheels, Bridgestone R Spoke 2's
Re: Turbo II
Generally use Photobucket & post the image link, or can cut & paste a link to a image site.

What Anthrax said. You need somewhere to host your images first. Photobucket is good.

Re: Turbo II
Cool your picture link worked That's a good price for a Motocompo, anything less than $2000 for a mint one is a great price really. A city owner over in the UK is trying to get a group buy going for those 4.

Re: Turbo II
That's a really tidy looking T2. Where did you manage to pick that up from?
Re: Turbo II
A friend found it for sale in the local paper about 12 months ago. He bought it and did a bit to it but it mainly sat. I pretty much pestered him every day until he finally caved and sold it to me. He's on here but I don't think he posted any pics. It even has a parking pole, which isn't currently working, but is a genuine item.
It needs a bit of TLC. The windscreen was cracked down the LH bottom corner and it had let moisture in which had rusted. Have had that fixed as well as some other minor rust. The bumpers had some scrapes so had them done while I was at it. The boost gauge wasn't working so I've had that fixed. Just did the front wheel bearings, the Oz delivered Pro T units did the trick. Previous owner did outer CV's etc. I'll go photo bucket some more picks.

Re: Turbo II
Mate,
I love your work, well done! It dawned on me yesterday that this is the car that I was talking to Beau about after he listed an EOI here on the forum mid last year. I really really wanted him to consider letting me be the next owner, but he seemed to have designs on letting your handy-work take place
You'll probably want to enjoy it for a bit which is completely understandable, but if you ever do get bored of it please keep me in mind
